Outings

All members are welcome to use club facilities at anytime, so long as club safety rules are followed. Weather you are a recreational rower, expert sculler or wanting to try competing for the first time, we have something to offer.

We have set club times (where everyone is welcome and encouraged to row together including the following:

  • Tuesdays at 2pm during winter, 530pm during summer
  • Wednesday evenings 6pm indoor training in winter, on the water during summer!
  • Saturdays at 8:30am
  • Juniors- Saturdays 1015am, Tuesday evenings 6pm indoor

Once you’ve made contact with the club to introduce yourself, you’ll be allowed to just turn up to these sessions, regardless of ability. If you’re a complete novice, do check out our Learn to Row page before getting stuck in. Members are able to access the club whenever they wish.

Competitive Members

People who want to race will start to organise a regular time to practise and train closer to the race date. You’ll be given the option of forming crews specifically for races closer to these seasons.

Using club equipment

The main thing to note is that we mostly have smaller boats so we don’t tend to form big (8+) crews, however, we ask everyone to find a buddy to go out with where possible.

Squads and Crews

Lastly, there’s nothing stopping you from creating your own regular crew. We currently use Whats app communities for communication amongst members, so it should be easy to arrange outings with other members once you have joined.
